My G&L S500 arrived today. I would like to thank you very much for helping me to import this fantastic guitar from the USA. Why I bought from Guitar Adoptions; - With the exchange rate of the British Pound against The US Dollar, it was a good time to import a quality guitar from the USA. I had tried The G&L S500 here in the UK, so I knew it was what I wanted. I looked at numerous US G&L Dealer websites, most of whom would only deal with International Customers via wire transfer. I wanted the consumer protection of a credit card transaction. – It’s a lot of money and your dealing with a supplier tens of thousands of miles away. (No problem however with Guitar Adoptions) Of the dealers who would accept credit card, Dave of Guitar Adoptions was the fastest and most helpful in responding to my email enquiries and carries one of the largest selections of in stock G&L guitars. The photographs on the website are of the guitar you are buying. The prices on the website are already discounted at US prices and these are further reduced on making contact with Dave. My guitar included a pick guard upgrade free of charge. There is a good saving to be had over UK prices at the moment. Once everything was agreed via email, a quick phone call to the US completed the order process. The cost of the call is peanuts compared with the saving being made. My invoice came through via email almost as soon as I put down the phone. Dave arranged for UPS to email me with tracking details, which arrived the next day. (You can track orders from UK dealers, but you contact them!) – This is real customer service. The guitar arrived within a week. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. UPS dealt with local import duties and VAT for which they charge a small fee, all payable on delivery. I saved £350 compared to buying in the UK taking into account all taxes, duties and fees. Anyone considering taking advantage of current exchange rates and importing a guitar from The USA should seriously consider Guitar Adoptions. Dave is obviously passionate about what he does. There are no risks with a credit card transaction and no hassle over import costs – UPS take care of that. You have nothing to lose and a lot of money to save. My sincere thanks |
