When I was kid, if I was good, I got one special treat a month, my choice. Now as a child of the eighties, we had a lot of really cool toys that I could have cashed in on but I always was left wanting for just one thing. A root beer float at our local mom and pop diner. There was something magical to me about the taste and smell of root beer that it caused the angel on my shoulder to convince the devil on the other side to be cool and think of that float.
