Are you ready for some news from G&L? Are you sitting in a chair? Is it an “angry chair”?

Expected to debut at Summer NAMM which begins on July 17th are two signature guitars from guitar great Jerry Cantrell.  Expected at the end of the month are the G&L Rampage Jerry Cantrell Signature model and the G&L Tribute Rampage Jerry Cantrell Signature model.

Cantrell, a founding member of the band “Alice in Chains”, has been using a G&L Rampage along with a G&L ASAT Special and G&L ASAT Classic to compose amazing riffs on songs such as “Man in the Box”, “Rooster”, and “Them Bones”. Cantrell has since gone on to success as a solo artist and has played with another small band you may have heard the kids talk about, Metallica.

The G&L Rampage Jerry Cantrell Signature model will feature a US soft Maple body, a single Seymour Duncan JB humbucker wound to Jerry’s specks and a US Kahler 2320 on Brass Tremolo Bridge. The G&L Tribute Rampage Jerry Cantrell Signature model will feature an Alcino V humbucker wound to Jerry’s specs and a Kahler 4300 X-Trem Temolo.

Cantrell has long been affiliated as a G&L artist and this model has been a long time in the coming for both G&L and Jerry Cantrell fans. If you are searching for information on either Cantrell or G&L you find more often than not the two names mentioned in the same sentence.

If you have been waiting patiently to get that great Cantrell sound now is your chance to do so. If you are new to G&L, these models will make an awesome entry in the fold of G&L ownership.
