K&K Pure XLR Preamp
This new K&K xlr unit has the same great sound and super low noise as the K&K Pure Preamp with the addition of a DI balanced XLR out and a phase switch. It is 9 Volt battery or Phantom powered, and features a 1/4" line out plus the XLR output in an attractive compact package!

What's a Phase Switch?
In many cases, phase switches are marketed as a feedback controlling device, but they accomplish much more than just that.
Here is why:
Every acoustic instrument projects sound waves in a certain phase. The phase that is projected out of the amplified speaker source needs to be in phase with the acoustic instruments own soundwaves or the result will not be optimal.
If the amp projects in the opposite phase, the acoustic instrument will fight its own sound and no balanced tone can develop. Round and warm tone will be experienced only when acoustic and amplified sound oscillate in the same phase.
The Pure Preamp has always been a great match with any of the K&K pickups.
With the addition of a phase reverse switch it has been made even better and more versatile with any type of amplification system!

Great pickup. hands down. In order to get the most out of your pickup or any pickup I would recommend the K&K pure xlr preamp very flexible but simple. Dave at Guitar Adoptions recommended it all along but I went ahead and bought a LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI. Don't get me wrong LR Baggs is great but when you are using a superior pickup like a k&K make sure and use the pure xlr preamp it sounds amazing. I have tried the LR Baggs Para DI and I was unhappy but now I am completely satisfied and amazed at the sounds that this preamp has coming out of it. From now on when it comes to acoustic pickups/preamps I am k&K all the way.
